After viewing the Palais de Justice, we went next door to the Conciergerie. This was the north part of the Capetian Palace and was under the administration of the Palace "Concierge." During the Revelution, it became the prison of many well known people. Marie-Antionette, Denton & Robespierre (Revelutionary judges, ironically) to name a few. They were walked through this lovely courtyard before losing their heads.
